Welcome Back My Friends ...
OK....
So I haven't posted for .... well ... A while. Great. Fine. Chastise me. I deserve it. But before you castigate me, please understand. I've been busy. We've all been busy. Way busy. Crazy busy.
But there comes a time when you have to put your foot down and say,
"STOP."
So I have reached my point and said stop. Now I'm here and I believe that it's time to reemerge from the cocoon and become *pithy* again.
Stand back.
Pithiness will be forthcoming....

Got me some DSL lovin'
Ok - They finally fixed it - but don't think it was months. I'm just late in posting.
Here is my latest speed test ....
Of course, I could still use a smidge more upload speed ....
What do you think? How is your speed?
My issues turned out to be a DSL modem that had reached (or nearly reached) the end of its life. After some expert troubleshooting, a fresh new DSL modem made things all better!

I am getting slower ..... and slower .... a n d s l o w e r . . . .
Over the last two weeks, my DSL connection has been degrading. This past weekend was unusuable. When I can connect, I get these results which are 50% slower than my results posted earlier this year and last year. My provider is working to solve the problem - but as someone who has used broadband at home for a decade - I find not having it quite unsettling.
Need some packet stimulation!!!!

It's been 2009 for over a month now - POST SOMETHING!!!

Goodbye Genebob!
Goodbye Genebob!!!
A sad day today in the blogosphere. A dear friend and techhie, Gene Saunders, has passed - due to natural causes. His wry humor was most evident in his blog, which from day 1, has held the top spot of honor in my list of blogofriendz.
